| K2- " Qogori " in Kirghiz language means " magnificent mountain " . Qogori, at 8611 metres, is situated on the China — Pakistan border. The highest peak is on the Karakoram , and only lower than Everest, It rises high into the sky like a double — edged sword and the relative altitude is higher so it is more difficult to climb. The Crevasse Glacier is the Longest one in China. After the peak was opened to the world, a Japanese group first conquered it from the Chinese side in 1982.The route of approach to the base camp is long and there are many rivers to cross. The months from June to August are Best time to entering and emerging from the mountain should be before the start of June and after the end of August. |
